Healthy Avocado Salad Recipe

When summer comes around each year, those flavors that we love so much, and missed during the cold winter months, return and we can starting getting fresh vegetables with their healthy vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants into our systems again. Organic vegetables make for a particularly health salad, and the avocado salad recipes are no different. When making a quick salad, or an easy salad into a healthy salad, add in some organic vegetables where you are able to.


Tofu and Avocado Healthy Salad Recipe


Ingredients: Free Tofu Avocado Healthy Salad Recipe


2 ripe fresh and ready to eat organic Avocado.

2 organic tomatoes chopped into pieces.

4 ounces of organic tofu - preferably your favorite flavor.

1 organic red onion finely sliced into half rings.

3 leaves of raw organic spinach.

1 boiled and grated egg.

3 sliced carrots. 1 ear of fresh organic corn decobbed.

Salt And Freshly Ground Black Pepper or Black and Red Pepper, to your taste.

This is a very quick salad recipe. Essentially you slice and prepare all the vegetables before combining them in your salad bowl. Make sure that each vegetable is washed and cleaned - this can be particularly important with organic produce as the natural farming techniques employed and lack of hi-tech processes mean a return to natural food and some dirt may be present (we'd take that over chemical residue any day!). With your tofu, prepare it in the manner recommended by the producer as some should be cooked before being included in a salad format like this. Simply mix to combine all vegetables and your tofu. Then add your favourite dressing, such as our famous avocado salad dressing as featured on this site. We especially like that dressing on this salad, but sometimes we like to have a vinaigrette or ranch dressing if we want some extra kick in the salad. Enjoy!

To add some variation to this salad you might like to consider some cottage cheese, or low fat cheese cubes to be added at the end of this easy salad recipe. Likewise, for a healthy option some freshly roasted (without oil) and chopped peanuts, almonds, cashews, walnuts or pecans can add some extra texture and taste to this healthy salad recipe. We love it. Some chopped chilli, or the inclusion of small amount of either hot sauce or chilli powder in the dressing that you mix can add some extra zing to liven up the tofu and really bring out the flavors.
